Oxbow Park and Zoo

For as long as we've had kids Nathan has wanted to take them to Oxbow Park. It is in Byron, MN and is the nicest county park I've ever visited. Not only a park but also a historic site, nature center, camping area, and native animal zoo. The kids loved it. In the pictures you see us at the otter, goat, and bear cages but there was also deer, elk, turkey, foxes, coyotes, wolves, prairies dogs, and on and on.

If anyone is looking for something to do just outside of Rochester here is something for everyone and it's free.

The only thing I'll tell you to watch out for is the grumpy campground host. We tried doing a geocache in the campground but were abruptly kicked out. Nathan kindly tried to explain what we were doing but to no avail. We just found a different cache further in the park to hunt. Ha, grumpy monkey.
